The frontier elm is known for it's red-purple fall color. This hybrid elm also shows good resistance to Dutch elm disease, elm yellows, and moderate resistance to elm leaf beetle. Broad oval shape to 40 feet tall makes it one of the smaller elms. Hardy to Zone 4.
