The Snow Fountains® Weeping Cherry (Prunus x ‘Snowfozam’) is a small-sized flowering ornamental tree. It is known for its strong weeping habit of elegant, long branches that cascade toward the ground. In mid spring for about 3 weeks, a blizzard of snow white, fragrant single flowers emerges and blankets the bare descending branches. The foliage then emerges after the floral show is over as serrated, dark green, ovate leaves for the summer before erupting into shades of orange and yellow in the fall.  \n \nThe Snow Fountains® Weeping Cherry was developed in 1985 by the owner of Ohio’s Lake County Nursery, Jim Zamponi. This tree is a fantastically ornamental tree that will turn any small space in the yard into a place worth remembering. It works as a specimen plant in the garden, near the patio, in a courtyard, or pretty much anywhere where it can be seen! It does best in full sun and prefers well-drained soils.
